Determination, thy name is Ender Kara

Determination, thy name is Ender Kara

I was late to the party and I fully admit that. I had not heard of Ender Kara until early 2020. And that was despite of Ender living in my neighboring country of Sweden, coming over to Denmark often to wrestle before Covid-19 shut all of that down. Looking back it feels like I must have lived under a rock when you've got a talent like Ender Kara succeeding in your country while you have no idea. But then I learned and I have been keeping my eyes on him ever since, because I can feel that he is going to become something special in time. I don't know when, which year will be his breakout year  or in which promotion or region of the world. I just know that sometime in the future Ender Kara will find success, he is just that much of a hard worker.

The Journey

The story of Ender Kara in the wrestling business begins in 2017, when he makes his debut for Let's Go Wrestling as Nochetts. It isn't until a year later, in 2018, that he changes to become known as Ender Kara which he still goes by to this day. In 2018 Ender wrestles all over Sweden while also making a trip or two over to Denmark and even the UK. In October Ender makes the trip to visit the LA Dojo owned by NJPW and run by Katsuyori Shibata and trains there for a while, something that influences his wrestling style being more strike based than high flying. In 2019 his career starts to takes off and he relocates to the UK for a couple of months where he works closely with the Kamikaze Pro promotion. Denmark also becomes a country that Ender Kara focuses on in 2019, in particular the Copenhagen Championship Wrestling promotion. Things are looking bring for Ender Kara in 2020.

A cursed 2020

The year of 2020 starts out great for Ender Kara as he wins his first title as a professional wrestler, The DPW Light Heavyweight Championship. That is, however, the last thing to happen before Covid-19 happens and the world goes into a lock down. Not one to sit still, Ender Kara does all he can to still get his name out there in the wrestling industry in 2020, even though the pandemic is happening. Podcasts and interviews makes sure that people know that Ender Kara is still out there and that he is hungry for oppotunity. Germany is also a country that Ender turns his eyes towards. A country with a bigger wrestling scene than the Scandinavian one, while also being fairly close it is only natural for a Scandinavian wrestler to look to get into the German scene as the next step in their plan to reach the top in professional wrestling. Ender Kara's first chance comes when German Wrestling Federation holds the 2020 Light Heavyweight World Cup. Ender Kara goes in, representing Sweden, and although he is eliminated in the first round, he has what I feel like is a breakout match against French, Senza Volto. Covid-19 makes wrestling difficult, however, Ender is invited back for GWF's Chaos City show in October.
In December 2020 Ender Kara gets the chance to wrestle for wXw when he is a replacement for Emil Sitoci in wXw's Catch Grand Prix 2020. Again this is something of a breakout moment when it leads to wXw booking him afterwards against The Rotation in another of Ender's breakout matches. The matches were released on wXwNOW and, thanks to wXw's deal with WWE, also on the WWE Network.

What 2021 holds

Thanks to this a lot of eyes have suddenly been opened to Ender Kara, who he is and what he can bring to the table as a wrestler. With GWF and now wXw, Ender looks to have made Germany his second home and it is likely that both promotions will aim to continue the working relationship they have with him.
With his debut on the WWE Network, and NXT UK looking all over Europe for talent it is also a possibility that Ender at some point in 2021 could end up working some dates for NXT UK. It certainly would be a feather in his cap to be able to say that he was the first Scandinavian talent that debuted for the brand.
Ender has stated that one of his goals is to work in Japan, so when travel is again possible he'll likely aim to catch the eyes of some of the Japanese promotions, be it NOAH, Dragon Gate, DDT, AJPW or even NJPW. Speaking Japanese and having trained in NJPW's LA Dojo with Katsuyori Shibata is certainly not something negative when it comes to looking to get booked in Japan.
My final words in the article will be me allowing myself to give some advice to you reading this. No matter if you are a fan or a promoter, keep an eye on Ender Kara because he'll be one of the wrestlers to watch in the future. He'll do anything he can to make sure that you notice him, that is just how determined he is.

The Four Horsewomen of Scandinavian wrestling

The Four Horsewomen of Scandinavian wrestling.  As professional wrestling is still somewhat of a young industry in Scandinavia the different nations find themselves needing to share wrestlers. And it becomes much more of a need when it comes to female wrestlers. Of course, there have been female Scandinavian wrestlers to take not of such as Jenny Sjödin. On the Danish side of things, I've always felt that it lacked in the female department. Luckily, I can then look to the Swedish neighbors to see four women that are what I, for lack of a better term, would refer to as the Four Horsewomen of Scandinavian wrestling.  Consider this an introduction to the four and where to find them. credit: Peter Troest Betty Rose When "The Pinup Punisher" Betty Rose comes to the ring, smiling ear-to-ear, enthusiastically waving to the crowd and in general coming in with a happy-go-lucky attitude. One cannot help but be infected with the positive attitude that she brings with her. As ...

From apostle to apostate: The story of Emeritus

From apostle to apostate: The story of Emeritus The stage is set for 2021. BODYSLAM! champion, Peter Olisander has to face perhaps the greatest challenger of his reign as BODYSLAM! champion as his former apostle, Emeritus looks at him with fire in his eyes. But how did it come to this? How did Emeritus go from being a devout follower of Peter Olisander and his Truth Movement, and to be an unbeliever looking to claim the BODYSLAM! championship for himself?   credit: Hans Kristian Hannibal-Bach The Truth Movement August 22nd, 2015. The first show from BODYSLAM! Pro Wrestling is held. BODYSLAM! 1: Fynne vs. Tank. On this show Emeritus Midnight makes his pro wrestling debut defeating Killer Karlson. Besides his valet, Hailey, Emeritus seems to be a quite lonely soul. Satisfied with residing in dark and gloomy places lit up by candles, the darker it is the more at home Emeritus seems to feel. Almost a year later, on December 17th, 2016, Peter Olisander makes his debut on ...
